Micki Free, Guitar, Flute, Native American flute: Micki is a Grammy Winner and Five Time Native American Music Award Winner. A mixed-blood Comanche-Cherokee Native American, Micki was discovered and managed at the age of 17 by Gene Simmons of KISS. Encouraged by Simmons, Micki joined multi-platinum R&B sensations, Shalamar, as lead guitarist and went on to score a run of Top 20 hits. Micki won his first Grammy for a song he wrote for the hit movie, Beverly Hills Cop. In his broad career, Micki has worked with Paul Stanley & Gene Simmons of KISS, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Prince, Shalamar, Carlos Santana, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Cheap Trick, and more.
